Jorgie Porter Reveals Dancing On Ice Is Helping Her To Fill Out I’m So Skinny

Jorgie Porter Reveals Dancing On Ice Is Helping Her To Fill Out I’m So Skinny: Her petite frame and baby-faced looks helped her secure the role of Hollyoaks teenager Theresa McQueen.

But actress Jorgie Porter has revealed training for Dancing On Ice is helping her bulk up her slim frame.

The 24-year-old actress, whose Hollyoaks character is six years younger than she is, admits she is so tiny, she sometimes buys clothes in children’s sizes.

Tiny frame: Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Proter, pictured in the Canaries last month, admitted she's putting on weight.

But after years of being a size 6 (US size 2), the 5ft 4in blonde is now gaining weight in muscle so she can wear a size 8 (US size 4).

Porter admits she is thrilled to have put on weight and her boyfriend, Hollyoaks co-star James Atherton, loves her curvier shape too.

She tells Closer magazine: ‘I feel more curvy and womanly. I’m loving having a bit more of a bum and my boyfriend James likes it too.

Filling out: The 24-year-old is now a size 8 after gaining weight during training.

‘Before the training, I sometimes felt as though I was too skinny – I was like a little kid.

‘I am usually a size 6 and it can be a pain because not everywhere does small sizes. I fit into children’s sizes and bought a jumper for a 12-13 year old the other day. Thankfully, now I’m more like a size 8.’

On Sunday night’s opening show, Porter and her professional partner Matt Evers ended up top of the scoreboard with 18.5 after their dance to Skinny Love by Bon Iver.

Topping the board: Porter and partner Matt Evers received 18.5 on Sunday's launch show.

Head Judge Robin Cousins was full of praise for her: ‘I really think that Jorgie’s performance was one of the best that we’ve had in any opening show of any of the series.’

Following Sunday’s show, Porter is now the bookies’ favourite to win the show with 13/8 odds.

Porter has played teenage temptress Theresa since joining the cast of Hollyoaks in 2008.

Bookies favourites: Porter and Evers have been tipped to win this year's series.
