It’s Clippers Who Bring The Noise In Resounding Win Over Thunder: From the looks of things, the Clippers have accepted the challenge that this difficult week might bring.

Day 2 of The Gauntlet on Monday night brought the Clippers a showdown with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the team with the best record in the NBA and two of the league’s top young stars in Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

And it didn’t turn out to be much of a problem for the Clippers, not with six of them scoring in double figures and Blake Griffin putting on another dunk show during their 112-100 victory over the Thunder at Staples Center.

Chris Paul directed the attack, producing a double-double with 26 points on 12-for-16 shooting and 14 assists, doing his part to help the Clippers build leads as big as 22 points. Paul scored 15 of the team’s last 31 points.

Griffin did his share to help the Clippers win to back-to-back games by scoring 22 points, including yet another stupendous dunk, over Kendrick Perkins in the third quarter.

Caron Butler had 22 points on nine-for-16 shooting, four for eight from three-point range. Continue Reading…

Blake Griffin’s Dunk of the Year Part of Big Night Against Thunder

Blake Griffin’s Dunk of the Year Part of Big Night Against Thunder: For some reason, Blake Griffin loves playing at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder. His monster one-handed dunk over Kendrick Perkins will be highlight reel fodder for months. LeBron James tweeted it was “Dunk of the Year.” Even as a Thunder fan, I can appreciate the monster dunk. Kevin Durant needs to have some of those to fire up his team.

Griffin’s 22 points put the game out of reach early and often Jan. 30, unfortunately for Thunder fans. Yet the team should have seen the big man coming. All Perkins could do was foul him. At the time of the dunk, the game was already too far out of reach as the exhausted Thunder simply couldn’t keep up despite the Clippers coming off a game in Denver the night before.

ESPN reported Griffin had 18 points and nine rebounds back on Nov. 3, 2010, when the Thunder traveled to L.A. to play the Clippers last season. Griffin was part of Clippers’ squad that was much more energetic than the Thunder. Perhaps the rough NBA season is catching up with Oklahoma City. Maybe the Clippers simply have the Thunder’s number. Griffin certainly likes throwing down one-handed dunks. Continue Story…

Gabrielle Union Throws Dwyane Wade A Birthday Bash

Gabrielle Union Throws Dwyane Wade A Birthday Bash: Actress Gabrielle Union threw her Miami Heat superstar boyfriend Dwyane Wade a 30th-birthday party at the Setai Hotel in South Beach on Sunday.

Clearly, it was quite a party; days after the event it’s still trending highly on the Internet.

The bash was reportedly filled with celebrities, including Usher, Rick Ross, T.I. and, of course, many of Wade’s teammates.

To make the night complete, singer Kelly Rowland serenaded the birthday boy with a seductive version of “Happy Birthday,” according to the Huffington Post.

Too bad his teammates didn’t assist Rowland and act out the lyrics, as they did for the Heat’s 2011-2012 music video of “Turn Up the Lights.”

Among the gifts Wade received were a 2012 McLaren MP4-12C, a vintage 1982 bottle of Dom Perignon and a diamond encrusted Hublot 3000 watch.

Wade’s grandiose week could come to an abrupt end Thursday evening when Kobe Bryant and the Lakers play the Heat in the teams’ first game this season.

DeMarcus Cousins & Paul Westphal

DeMarcus Cousins & Paul Westphal: However, what I desire is a head coach Paul Westphal’s shenanigans; I look a person’s bridge. as both a good guy alike Paul., the Court is on and away, the better citizenry he truly kindest. You’ll always come across, but he is not a really talented basketball coach and he is a bigger persuasive. While Paul considers it a player your “hard A service of love “, is through far one time affair if it is a, I would be against it with Westphal, but this is a reoccurring theme he had effects with the former year cousin – he’ll be a 5 year older Spencer Hawes” he today experiences his role, he will not “approach and all-Tom Ziller in Gary Payton as 2000 show ahead with the elder blow In the process of playing alike the biggest, with so much publicized controversy.
